About the Q-Mark building systems certification scheme

The Q-Mark building systems certification scheme is based on the principles of ISO 9001 and EN ISO/IEC 17065 and confirms compliance with the main requirements of with the appropriate EAD (European Assessment Document), together with a specific set of performance criteria set by BM TRADA in order to attain a design which performs to a high standard.

Building systems are complex products assembled from factory made components and elements designed to provide specific functions. These could be wall panels, partitions, floor joists, cassette floors, roof trusses or spandrel panels. They may incorporate connections, insulation materials or even services.

Independent certification of a building system enables the manufacturer to demonstrate that it has been manufactured under a quality management system and it achieves a consistent standard of performance.
